ESL Jinotega
ESL Matagalpa
A team of youth from Celebration Church in Hoschton, GA will be working with Pastor Frank and the church family from Faith Community Jinotega, breaking new ground and sharing the good news in the communities near the church. Through block parties , street evangelism, peer mentoring, and just hanging out the team will be raising awareness about the church and sharing the hope of the gospel.
Our Family Team will be working with the Prince of Peace Feeding Center preparing and serving the meals as well as helping Pastor Eli in his work with some of the children and families from the community served by the center. In addition the group will be out in the neighborhoods and local parks sharing the good news and the news about the launch of Faith Community Matagalpa a new church being launched on July 16 in conjunction with our ESL project that will lead into launch Sunday.
The team from Silk Hope Baptist Church in Savannah, GA will be working in the village of Los Prendedisos where we are currently building a flush toilet bath house at each home in the village. What a blessing it is to work along side the families and to see the joy they express from something as basic as a clean flushing toilet. God can and is using many ways to open doors to the gospel,
Additionally the group will be removing a wall at Highlands House to allow for more gathering space for Faith Community Jinotega our church plant that meets in Highlands House. Thanks be to God they are bursting at the seams!
HMC will be hosting an ESL intensive course in Matagalpa. We have wonderful curriculum that makes facilitating a class mush less stressful that most would think. Building relationships through the English language, we will be paving the way for the “Good News” of Jesus Christ. As the week progresses we will have the opportunity to share “our stories” of how Jesus has transformed our lives. This week in particular we are going to be able to point the student who are open to the gospel to the launch of our new church Faith Community Matagalpa. It is always a fun and exciting week getting to know our students and being able to share our stories of renewal with them. This week is going to be doubly exciting because of Launch Sunday on the 16th! We hope to see many of our students on Sunday for a time of celebration and exploration!

Building Flush toilet bathhouse in each him in the village. We take for granted some of the basics of life. Something as simple a a clean bath room can be life changing. Not only are you building the esteem the villager by having their own bathhouse. You are creating a much cleaner environment by elimination bacteria and disease carried by flies who hover around open top latrines.

The group for Silk Hope Baptist Church, Savannah, GA would love for you to join them as they come to work on Highlands House our ministry center. The team will be completing dormitory space and developing other infrastructure items to help create an inviting place for teams to sleep, relax, worship and fellowship as they serve the people of the nearby villages and communities.
Join with others from several churches as they prepare Christmas bags for over 350 the children. All of these children are a part of other ministries within the HMC family. What a blessing to bring a smile to child’s face who would have gone without at Christmas.
The bags are filled with school supplies, toiletry items, wash cloth, hand towel, activity books or puzzles, candy, and a small toy.
