As 2020 begins, I am so grateful to God for all of His blessings on Highlands Mission Cooperative. Not only did He sustain us through 2019, but through many of you He has provided resources for the new year. A sincere thank you for your partnership in ministry.

Frank and Arlyn Announcement

The new year begins with great anticipation and a little bit of sorrow. On January 12th, we said farewell to Frank and Arlyn as they embark on a new adventure in Managua. Please join us as we pray for God’s direction as they begin a new season of ministry. We are so grateful for their service to the Church in Jinotega and their leadership in the Faith Community Network these past five years. We know that God has much work for them to do as they seek him along their upcoming journey in Managua.

As we search for the new pastor at Faith Community Jinotega, I am confident that the congregation will prosper in the transition to new leadership. The body of believers there are strong, so pray for those men and women who will provide leadership to the congregation during this season.

January ESL (English as a Second Language)

Soon the gang from Hibernia and West Harmony Baptist Churches out of Jacksonville, Florida will be in Jinotega to resume ESL courses after an 18-month hiatus. Many people around the city are anxiously awaiting the courses that will be held for the first time at Highlands House.  We envisioned Highlands House filled with men and women, young and old, growing in knowledge and understanding of their Savior. That we’re excited about this new endeavor is an understatement. God is faithful!

New 2020 Opportunities

In Pastor Frank’s last word to the congregation, he reminded me of my dream and vision for Nicaragua—that through us, God would start a gospel tsunami that would roll out of the mountains and wash over all of Nicaragua and on into Central American transforming lives, restoring families and restructuring communities to the glory of God.

There are many opportunities for you to join with us in the work that God has laid before us in the remote areas of Nicaragua. From ESL, to medical clinics, to construction of a new community center called “The Hope Center”, there is a place for you! If you commit to “Pray, Give and Go,” we will “Eat, Pray, and Love” together as we serve these beautiful people.

Check out Events Schedule, and Contact Us if you or your church team would like to join us for an upcoming mission trip.
