The construction team is heading home in the morning. We are tired but it’s a good tired. We had a good day finalizing our installations though we did not get to install as many filters as we would have liked. We have paved the way for the next teams to come and finish the project. We had a few trials, several errors, but many successes.
Mr. Roy served as an encouragement to all of us as he continues to serve the kingdom at the young age of 86 years. Ms. Mollie, as I write this Roy is doing fine, sitting across the table from me.
Archie watched out for Mr Roy and sang his best rendition of the Sound of Music with the mountains in the background. Too bad the video washed out.
Bill kept us all laughing with his one liners. He gave invaluable insight into some of our trials.
Rod kept Eliud in line, handled the driving and supplied the practical application.
Geoff was our safety inspector as well as always looking to pitch in where ever he could help.
Richard as usual was our work horse. He never seems to tire and is as strong as an ox.
Heilym did the talking for us and was a good sport all week with the guys.
Eliud took all the ribbing with a smile translating and guiding.
Martha as always feed us too well! We all have gained weight!
Thank you for a great week. I am excited to see how God will use all of your hard work this week to impact the lives of the people of Los Loma Del Nance.
Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken
Psalm 55:22
Nothing that’s good seems to come easily. This week was not easy, but it was very rewarding. I think we all found out some things about ourselves as we grew closer to God through his Spirit. This was a great experience. It was Spirit filled. We got to know the people and their culture a little better. We had good camaraderie and everyone worked together well. This is a trip I would do again and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a way to give back a little of what God has blessed us with. Thank you Dan for your willingness to be our missions pastor and director. You truly have the vision.
